Obverse description Bucranium (ox skull) facing, rendered in bold relief with prominent horns curving outward to either side; a fillet is draped across the skull between the horns, a characteristic votive motif associated with sacrificial imagery. The design is centrally placed within the field, executed in the robust style typical of Phokian civic bronzes of the Hellenistic period. The abbreviated ethnic inscription ΕΛ appears in the field, referencing the mint city of Elateia.
