Obverse description Laureate head of Apollo facing left, rendered in fine Campanian style with detailed wavy hair and a serene, idealized expression. A laurel wreath crowns the deity's head, with the locks falling in naturalistic waves behind the neck. The legend NΩΛAI appears in the left field, retrograde, identifying the issuing city of Nola. The portrait fills the flan with confident, slightly archaic draftsmanship characteristic of South Italian bronze coinage of the late 4th to mid-3rd century BC.
