Additional information

Aigospotamoi, a minor Thracian Chersonese community better known for the 405 BC naval battle that ended Athenian naval supremacy, struck civic bronze coinage only briefly. The town's independent issues are rare precisely because its political autonomy was intermittent — squeezed between Spartan, then Macedonian, then Lysimachean control across the fourth century.

The Weber and SNG Copenhagen references remain the primary anchors for attributing these bronzes, as the series has never received a dedicated modern die study.
