Obverse description Veiled and wreathed head of Demeter facing right, rendered in fine Hellenistic style. The goddess wears a veil draped over the back of her head, with ears of grain and a floral ornament visible within her wreath. Her facial features are rendered with careful modelling, and a earring is discernible at the cheek. The truncation of the neck is plain, and the field is otherwise devoid of inscription or symbol.
