Reverse description Central field dominated by a bow and quiver crossed diagonally, the principal attributes of Artemis as goddess of the hunt, rendered in bold relief against a plain field. The quiver is depicted with visible fletching detail, and the bow arcs prominently across the design. The ethnic legend ΚΝΩ ΣΙΩΝ, meaning 'of the Cnossians,' is distributed around the field in Greek characters. A beaded border frames the entire design, and the flan bears an ancient piercing hole at the lower left, consistent with the obverse perforation.
