Reverse description A crab rendered frontally and in high relief dominates the central field, its carapace boldly detailed with articulated claws extending laterally and legs splayed symmetrically to either side. Below the crab, in the lower exergual area, appears the abbreviated Greek ethnic legend TEPI, identifying the issuing city of Terina. The composition fills the flan with characteristic Bruttian directness and confident engraving.
