Obverse description Laureate head of Apollo facing left, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with carefully detailed wavy hair bound by a laurel wreath. The facial features are delicately modeled with a well-defined eye, straight nose, and slightly parted lips. Long curling locks fall behind the ear onto the neck. No legend appears on the obverse.

Reverse description A man-headed bull (the river-god Volturnus) walking to the right, with head turned back to face the viewer, rendered in a robust Hellenistic style. A small Victory or Nike figure alights upon the bull's back from above, crowning it. The ethnic legend SVESANO appears in the exergue below the bull, identifying the issuing city of Suessa Aurunca.
