The accession year 1255 AH appears prominently at the base of the legend, with the regnal year indicator above. The design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle and a plain raised outer rim, consistent with the obverse treatment. The overall composition is formal and epigraphic in character, typical of mid-nineteenth century Ottoman billon coinage.
