| Obverse description | Armored and draped bust of King Stefan Batory facing right, wearing an ornate closed crown decorated with fleurs-de-lis and jeweled bands. The king's effigy features a short beard and moustache, with the neck and shoulders clad in a ruffled collar and articulated armor. A circular Latin legend surrounds the portrait, reading clockwise from the upper right. The field is unadorned, with the bust occupying the majority of the coin's face in the characteristic hammered style of late 16th-century Polish–Lithuanian coinage. |
