| Obverse description | Right-facing crowned bust of Sigismund III Vasa, bearded and wearing a ruffled collar and draped mantle, rendered in high relief in the late Renaissance style. The royal crown is richly detailed with pearls and floral ornaments. The Lewart (Leliwa) shield, bearing the arms of the Vasa dynasty, appears below the bust, interrupting the surrounding circular legend. The peripheral Latin legend runs along the inner border, divided by the shield at the base. |

| Reverse description | The reverse displays a three-line Latin inscription stating the denomination and issuing authority, surmounted by the Roman numeral III indicating the value of three grosze. Above the legend, the crowned Polish eagle, the Vasa dynastic arms (Snopek sheaf), and the Lithuanian mounted knight (Pahonia) are arranged horizontally as heraldic devices. Below the inscription, a plain ring without triangle ornament divides the last two digits of the date 1594. The design is characteristic of the Malbork mint output under Sigismund III. |
