| Reverse description | Within a shallow rounded incuse square, an archaic Greek letter Tau (Τ) is prominently displayed at center, flanked on either side below by a single raised pellet, forming a symmetrical arrangement of Τ between two pellets. The entire device is enclosed within a linear square border set within the broader incuse depression, a typical feature of early archaic Peloponnesian fractional coinage. The incuse technique reflects the hammered die work characteristic of late sixth to early fifth century BC Greek coinage. The pellets likely serve as denominational markers. |
