Decorative foliate and floral motifs fill the interstices between the letterforms, adding ornamental richness to the field. The coin is enclosed by a prominent inner border of raised pellets arranged in a continuous ring, itself surrounded by a secondary outer pellet border following the irregular flan edge. The overall composition exemplifies the high artistic standard of early nineteenth-century Persian die-engraving. |
