Obverse description
Euro symbol in the center surrounded by 3 different motifs (reminiscent of the figures found on French Euro coins = The twelve stars of the European Union surround the new Marianne, signed F. Courtiade, engraver at the Monnaie de Paris, and on the right the initials RF of the French Republic / a hexagon surrounded by the motto `Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité`, the tree signed J. Jimenez pushes its roots and branches, which house the initials of the French Republic, towards the twelve stars of the crown / the Sower, updated by Laurent Jorio, passes in front of rays of Sun. The background depicts the tricolor flag in accordance with heraldic conventions: horizontal hatching for azure, i.e. the blue of the left third; plain for argent, i.e. the white of the central third; vertical hatching for gules, i.e. the red of the right third. It is covered by the ring formed by the twelve stars of the European flag. The initials `RF` for the French Republic (visible on the right) are repeated 4 times each, alternating to form a circle of 12.
