Reverse description Forepart of a bull facing right, rendered in high relief within a shallow incuse square, the animal's muscular body and long flowing dewlap indicated by incised parallel lines. The bull's head is lowered with short curved horns prominent, and the foreleg is raised. The Greek ethnic inscription ΔΙΚΑΙΑ is distributed around the incuse field, with individual letters (Δ, Ι, Κ, Α, Ι, Α) placed in the corners and margins of the incuse square. The composition is characteristic of the northern Macedonian Greek coinage of the fifth century BC, with the incuse technique providing a bold, geometric framing for the naturalistic animal type.
