Obverse description Diademed and tiaraed bust of Vologases III facing left, rendered in the characteristically bold Parthian style with a globular beard and long wavy hair falling behind the neck. The king wears a tiara adorned with a diadem, and a draped bust is visible below. A royal monogram 'A' appears prominently in the right field. The portrait exhibits the distinctive bulging eye and strong facial features typical of late Parthian tetradrachm coinage.
