| Obverse description | The effigy of the king, identified as Vasudeva II, is depicted standing facing, wearing an elaborate crown and diadem, with a nimbus encircling the head. The ruler is shown in full regalia, holding a trident in the right hand and extending the left hand toward a flaming altar at the left, in a sacrificial gesture. A second trident is positioned above the altar, a distinctive iconographic element characteristic of late Kushan royal coinage. The figure is rendered in the bold, stylised manner typical of Kushan artistic convention, with garments and ornaments indicated by incised detail. |
