Reverse description An eagle with closed wings stands in left profile atop a thunderbolt, rendered with finely detailed feathering across the body and wings. The eagle's head is turned to face left, and its talons firmly grip the thunderbolt, the emblem of Zeus and a hallmark of Ptolemaic reverse iconography. To the left of the eagle appear a shield and what appears to be a monogram or control mark; to the right, a secondary control symbol is visible in the field. The Greek legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ to the right and ΠΤΟΛΕΜΑΙΟΥ to the left runs around the periphery of the reverse field.
