| Obverse description | Diademed head of the deified Alexander the Great facing right, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with flowing, voluminous hair swept back from the brow. The horn of Ammon curls conspicuously above the ear, asserting Alexander's divine association with the Egyptian god Zeus-Ammon. A dotted border frames the design along the upper rim of the flan. A control mark, the letter kappa, appears in the lower exergual area beneath the portrait. |

| Reverse description | Athena Nikephoros seated left upon a throne, her left arm resting upon a large round shield set on the ground beside her, while a long transverse spear leans diagonally in the background behind her. In her extended right hand she holds a small Nike (Victory) figurine. A six-pointed star appears in the outer left field as a control symbol, and a cult image or palladion is depicted in the inner left field. The Greek royal legend is distributed in two lines flanking the seated figure. |
