Obverse description Diademed and heroically coiffed head of the deified Alexander III facing right, portrayed in the guise of the divine Ammon with a prominent ram's horn curling behind the ear. The hair is rendered in flowing locks swept back from the forehead in the characteristic Lysimachean style, with fine detail throughout. The portrait exhibits a high-relief Hellenistic sculptural quality, with strong facial features and a serene, idealized expression. A beaded border frames the design at the coin's edge.
