Reverse description Athena Nikephoros seated left upon a throne, her right hand extending forward to present a winged Nike who crowns the royal legend; her left arm rests upon a large round shield decorated with a lion's head boss. A transverse spear leans behind the figure, its shaft rising diagonally into the upper field. In the inner left field, the monogram of HP appears above a star serving as mint control marks. The reverse legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ, reading 'of King Lysimachus,' is disposed in two lines flanking the seated goddess, firmly asserting Lysimachus's royal authority.
