Reverse description Athena Nikephoros enthroned to the left upon a high-backed throne, her body draped in chiton and himation. She extends her right hand to receive Nike, the winged goddess of victory, who faces left and crowns the royal name in the field above; her left elbow rests upon a large round shield set against the throne. A long spear is depicted transversely behind the throne with the point directed downward. In the inner left field, a monogram appears above a crescent, serving as a mint control mark. The legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ, meaning 'of King Lysimachus', is disposed in two lines in the right and upper fields respectively.
