A prominent curved ram's horn of Ammon emerges from above the ear, identifying Alexander as the divine son of Zeus-Ammon. The portrait is highly idealized, with strong facial modeling, a slightly parted mouth, and the characteristic upward gaze associated with Lysimachan Alexander types. The diadem is visible above the forehead, its ends trailing into the flowing locks behind the neck. No legend appears on the obverse field. |

Her left arm rests upon a large round shield decorated with a lion's head boss, and a spear leans against her left shoulder. The legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ runs to the right and left of the enthroned figure. A monogram appears in the outer left field, with a ME monogram surmounting a PHA monogram in the inner left field, and a club is placed in the exergue as an additional control symbol. |
