| Reverse description | Athena Nikephoros enthroned to left upon an ornate throne, her left elbow resting upon a large, decorated round shield set against the throne's side, while her extended right hand holds a winged Nike who crowns the royal legend above. A long transverse spear rests diagonally behind the goddess with its point directed toward the lower left. Two control monograms appear in the field: one to the inner left of the seated figure and a second placed in the exergue. The encircling Greek legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ, meaning 'of King Lysimachus', frames the composition. |
