The effigy bears the small curved horn of Ammon emerging from the hairline above the ear, asserting Alexander's divine association with the Egyptian god Zeus-Ammon. The diadem is visible across the upper forehead, its ends trailing behind the neck. The portrait is set within a plain inner field, enclosed by a dotted border, and displays fine high-relief engraving characteristic of the Lysimachean mint style. |

Her left arm rests upon a large round shield decorated with a lion's head boss, and a spear leans against her left shoulder. In the inner left field, a kerykeion (caduceus) is placed with its handle oriented toward the inner left. A monogram appears in the outer right field as a mint control mark. The two-line Greek legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ — meaning 'of King Lysimachus' — flanks the enthroned figure on either side, all within a dotted border. |
