| Beschrijving voorzijde | Diademed head of the deified Alexander III (the Great) facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic portrait tradition with flowing, elaborately curled hair swept back from the forehead. A prominent ram's horn of Ammon curves forward above the ear, asserting Alexander's divine association with Zeus-Ammon. The portrait is executed in high relief with naturalistic modelling of the facial features, including a strong brow, straight nose, and slightly parted lips. The fillet of the diadem is visible above the forehead, its ends trailing behind the neck. The entire design is contained within a plain inner border, itself enclosed by a fine bead-and-reel border at the coin's periphery. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Athena Nikephoros seated left on a throne, her figure fully draped, holding aloft a small winged Nike in her extended right hand, who crowns the royal name of the legend. Athena's left arm rests upon a large round shield decorated with a lion's head boss, while a spear leans against her left shoulder. The royal legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ runs along the right and left vertical fields respectively. A ME monogram appears in the inner left field, and a ΘE monogram is placed on the throne or in the exergue, serving as mint or magistrate control marks. The composition is characteristic of the Lysimachean coinage type adopted from the posthumous Alexander issues. |
