Tetradrachm - Artabanus I

正面描述	Bust of Artabanus I facing right, depicted as a bearded ruler wearing a distinctive Parthian helmet ornamented with scale or basketwork pattern and a diadem. The effigy shows the king in three-quarter armour with a torque at the neck and dotted gorget visible at the truncation. The portrait is rendered in a vigorous Hellenistic style with carefully articulated beard and strong facial features. The field to the left contains a bow in a bowcase (gorytus), a characteristic Parthian dynastic emblem. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border.
