Obverse description Diademed head of Alexander II Zabinas facing right, portrayed in the Hellenistic royal portrait tradition with youthful, idealized features and a clean-shaven face. The diadem is rendered as a broad band tied through the voluminous, elaborately curled hair, with flowing locks framing the face and neck. The portrait is set boldly within the coin field with no surrounding legend, filling the flan with confident, high-relief engraving characteristic of late Seleucid workshop production.
