Reverse description A goat stands in profile to the left, rendered in vigorous relief with naturalistic musculature; the animal's head is turned back over its shoulder toward the right. To the right of the goat, a karchesion (a kantharos-type drinking vessel on a tall stem with a broad base) is depicted in the field, a cult symbol associated with Hermes and a distinctive emblem of Ainean reverse types. The partial ethnic inscription AINION (rendered here as the visible portion) curves along the upper field. The overall composition is well-centered within the irregular flan, with a granular exergual line below the goat.
