| Obverse description | Facing head of Hermes, slightly turned to the left, rendered in fine high relief with pronounced facial modeling. The god wears a petasos adorned with a central knob at the crown and a beaded border along the brim, characteristic of the mature Ainetan die-cutting tradition. The portrait is executed with confident engraving, conveying a sense of three-dimensionality uncommon in contemporary Thracian coinage. The field around the effigy is plain, with no legend on the obverse. |
