Obverse description Helmeted head of Athena facing right, rendered in the severe style characteristic of mid-fifth century Attic coinage. The goddess wears a crested Attic helmet adorned with three olive leaves and a palmette at the base of the crest. The eye is depicted in the archaic frontal convention, a hallmark of this transitional period. The cheek guards of the helmet frame the face, and the hair is visible in tight beaded locks along the neck and forehead. The flan is irregular, consistent with hand-struck Athenian coinage of this era.

Reverse description Owl of Athena standing right with head turned to face the viewer, rendered with bold, deeply cut relief. An olive sprig with berries and a crescent moon appear in the upper left field, symbolic of Athens and its nocturnal associations. The ethnic inscription AΘE appears before the owl, reading downward along the right field. The entire design is set within a shallow incuse square with plain borders, a defining feature of classical Athenian tetradrachm coinage. The composition is austere and iconic, reflecting the standardized yet powerful civic imagery of fifth-century Athens.
