| 背面描述 | Sphinx or lion-griffin seated to left, depicted with a leonine body, raised forepaw, and a human or animal head turned to face the viewer, in a style consistent with Cilician civic coinage of the fourth century BC. The reverse field is plain with no inscription or exergual line. The image is set within a slightly irregular incuse or flat flan, the result of hand hammering on a small silver blank. The artistic treatment reflects Achaemenid-influenced iconography commonly encountered on coinage of uncertain Cilician mints. |
