背面描述 Central shield of the Lithuanian arms, depicting a crowned knight on horseback (the Pahonia), accompanied by flanking shields bearing the Polish eagle and additional dynastic arms, all surmounted by a royal crown. The numeral VI appears above the central shield, denoting the denomination of six groszy. The last two digits of the date, 8-5, are placed at either side of the lower shield, completing the year 1585. The circumscribed Latin legend GROS ARGEN SEX M D LIT identifies the coin as a silver six-groszy piece of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, all contained within a beaded border.

附加信息

Stefan Batory introduced the szóstak — a six-groszy piece — as part of a broader monetary reform intended to stabilize coinage across the sprawling Commonwealth, where coin quality had deteriorated badly under the Jagiellonians. The Wilno mint was operating under lease to private contractors during this period, a common arrangement that invited inconsistency; dies cut in 1585 show measurable variation in legend spacing and shield rendering, which is precisely what differentiates Kop#3383 from Kop#3384.

Batory died in December 1586, making this one of the final full-year issues of his reign struck at Wilno.
