Obverse description Facing crowned episcopal bust rendered in uncial Gothic style, the crown adorned with stylised rosette or floral ornaments. The effigy is contained within a beaded inner circle, with the surrounding legend in uncial characters reading the mint name of Huy. The bust is boldly struck in high relief typical of Mosan workshop production of the late 13th century, with crude but expressive facial detail.
