Obverse description Bare-necked bust of Athena facing right, wearing a crested Attic helmet with a raised cheek-guard and elaborately decorated bowl, rendered in fine archaic relief against a smooth field. The crest rises prominently above the helmet, and the cheek-piece frames the goddess's facial features with characteristic late-Classical Lycian workmanship. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, as typical of hammered issues of this dynastic series.
