Obverse description Helmeted head of Athena facing right, rendered in archaic Greek style, wearing a crested Corinthian helmet with prominent cheek guards partially covering the face. The facial features are finely detailed with an almond-shaped eye, straight nose, and slightly parted lips. The neck and chin are clearly delineated, with the helmet's crest and bowl occupying the upper portion of the flan. The relief is bold and well-centered, characteristic of Lycian dynastic coinage of the mid-fifth century BC.
