| Obverse description | Draped male head in three-quarter facing right, wearing a crested Attic helmet with elaborate cheek-guards, rendered in fine archaic-to-transitional style. The facial features are boldly modelled with a prominent beard, and the helmet crest is finely detailed. A beaded inner border frames the central design, with Lycian legend distributed in the field around the portrait. The overall style is characteristic of Lycian dynastic coinage of the early fourth century BC, blending Greek artistic conventions with local iconographic traditions. |
