Obverse description Facing Boeotian shield rendered in high relief, its characteristic cutout notches visible on either side of the upper arc. The convex boss of the shield dominates the field, with the incurved sides and double-curved apertures of the shield rendered with bold plasticity typical of Theban coinage of this period.
