Obverse description Draped bust of a female divinity, identified tentatively as Aphrodite, facing left in profile. The hair is elaborately arranged with a beaded diadem or sakkos across the crown, gathered into a large chignon at the nape; a pendant earring is visible at the ear. The modelling of the facial features is rendered in a refined Archaic-to-early-Classical Greek style, with a serene expression and naturalistic treatment of the neck and drapery visible at the truncation.
