| Additional information |
The Thessalian League was reconstituted under Roman supervision following the proclamation of Greek freedom by Flamininus at the Isthmian Games in 196 BC — the opening date of this series. The magistrate names Philippos and Themistogenes appear together on this issue, one of numerous sequential magistrate pairings the League rotated through its coinage, a practice that allows approximate sequencing within the series even where absolute dating remains contested.
SNG Copenhagen 296 places this among the earlier groupings of the reconstituted League's output.
