Obverse description Bare-headed or lightly laureate bust of Claudius facing right, rendered in high relief in the Hellenistic tradition. The effigy displays characteristic Roman imperial portraiture with individualized facial features including a broad forehead and strong jawline. The neck is truncated at the base, with no visible legend or inscription in the field. The flan shows the irregular, slightly convex fabric typical of hammered Bosporan gold staters of this period.
