Obverse description Head of Athena facing right, wearing an Attic helmet adorned with an olive wreath and a prominent crest, rendered in fine archaic Greek style. The hair is depicted in tight curls falling below the helmet brim, with a circular earring visible at the ear. The neck is shown with a beaded necklace, and the bust is draped. Radiate lines surround the helmet, emphasizing the divine character of the effigy. The overall style reflects strong Athenian artistic influence on Lycian coinage of the late fifth century BC.
