Reverse description An owl stands to the left in profile with head turned to face the viewer, its plumage rendered in fine engraved detail with layered feathers on the breast and wing. The Lycian dynastic legend xerẽi wehñt appears in Lycian alphabetic script at the sides of the type, identifying the issuing dynast Kherei of Phellos. The entire design is set within a shallow incuse square, characteristic of early Lycian silver coinage.
