Reverse description A finely detailed kantharos (wine vessel) depicted in three-quarter view, centrally placed in the field, featuring elegantly scrolled double handles, a gadrooned body with beaded upper rim, and a flared foot resting on a plain base. To the left of the vessel appears the Greek letter KA, and to the right the letters BI, together forming the magistrate's name KABI flanking the central motif. The design is executed in crisp relief against a smooth, flat field, enclosed within a broad raised border, exemplifying the accomplished die-cutting style of Theban mint production during the Epaminondas era.
