| Obverse description | Diademed head of the deified Alexander the Great facing right, wearing the horn of Ammon curling above his ear, a divine attribute linking him to Zeus-Ammon. The effigy is rendered in fine Hellenistic style with flowing, wavy hair swept back from the forehead and secured by a royal diadem. The facial features are idealised yet vigorous, with a strong jaw and prominent brow characteristic of posthumous Lysimachean portraiture. The field is plain, with no additional symbols or inscriptions. |

| Reverse description | Athena Nikephoros seated left on a throne, wearing a crested helmet, draped and cuirassed, her right hand extended to receive a small Nike who crowns her, and her left arm resting on a large round shield decorated with a gorgoneion. A long spear leans against her left shoulder. To the left of the throne, a monogram of Byzantion (BY) appears in the lower field, while the Greek legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ to the right and ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ to the left frame the central type. The composition follows the standard reverse type established by Lysimachus for his royal gold coinage. |
