正面描述	Diademed head of the deified Alexander the Great facing right, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with deeply engraved, flowing locks of hair swept back beneath a royal diadem. The effigy bears the horn of Ammon curling from above the ear, signifying Alexander's divine association with the Egyptian deity Zeus-Ammon. The portrait is executed with characteristic idealized naturalism, the facial features finely modelled with a prominent brow, straight nose, and slightly parted lips. The field is plain, with the portrait filling the flan in the bold, high-relief manner typical of posthumous Lysimachan coinage.

背面描述	Athena Nikephoros seated left upon a throne, her left arm resting on a large round shield set against the seat, a transverse spear rising behind her in the background field. In her extended right hand she holds a small Nike (Victory). The legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ runs along the upper and right fields. A monogram appears to the inner left field, the civic letters ΒΥ (for Byzantion) are inscribed below the throne, and an ornate trident — the civic badge of Byzantion — occupies the exergue.
