| Obverse description | The characteristic Boeotian shield rendered in high relief, its distinctive incurved sides and two circular cut-outs clearly delineated against a flat field. The shield occupies nearly the full flan, with a prominent convex boss at the centre and a raised border framing the device. The hammered flan exhibits an irregular edge typical of hand-struck Boeotian coinage of the early fourth century BC. |

| Reverse description | A large amphora with double loop handles shown in full front view, centrally positioned within a square incuse punch. The vessel displays a broad mouth with a flanged rim, tapering body, and a stepped foot, all rendered with fine engraved detail characteristic of Theban coinage. The Greek inscription ΗΙΣ to the left and ΜΕ to the right of the amphora reads as ΗΙΣΜΕ, identifying the magistrate or issuing authority Hisme. The composition is set within a shallow incuse square, surrounded by a wide flat field. |
