| Obverse description | Prancing horse advancing to left, depicted in high relief with naturalistic musculature; the animal's forelegs are raised in a spirited gait. An astragalos (knucklebone) appears in the upper field to the right of the horse. The design is set within a circular incuse field, characteristic of early Thracian coinage, with a plain exergual line beneath the horse. |
