Obverse description Boeotian shield rendered in high relief, with the characteristic curved cut-outs on each side forming the distinctive silhouette associated with Boeotian armor. The central boss is prominently convex, dominating the design. The shield's incised border follows the irregular oval flan, rendered in the archaizing style typical of Theban silver coinage of the early fourth century BC.
