| Obverse description | Helmeted head of Athena facing right, rendered in fine Hellenistic relief. The goddess wears a crested Corinthian helmet pushed back on the head, its bowl decorated and the elongated cheekpieces framing her idealized facial features. The elaborate plume flows gracefully to the left, its feathers rendered with finely incised parallel striations. Locks of hair curl beneath the helmet rim along the nape of the neck, and the truncation of the neck is visible at the lower right of the field. |
