The visage is presented frontally, with deeply modelled facial features including pronounced brow ridges, broad nose, and slightly parted lips, characteristic of the archaic-to-classical transitional style of Mysian coinage. The field is plain, with no inscription or additional device. This iconic facing-head type is the hallmark obverse design of Lampsakene gold staters of this period. |

The creature's wings are rendered with carefully engraved feathers fanning upward and backward, while the horse's foreleg extends forward in a dynamic prancing posture. The musculature of the chest and neck is boldly modelled, conveying vigorous movement.
